Brightspot Market Sept'09
Pheeww, finally, I edited and uploaded these pictures that I wanted so long ago to post. I went to Brightspot Market about 3 weeks ago, held in Grand Indonesia this time. Up until just now, I hadn't been able to gather enough power to touch my computer for some picture editing (read: lazy =P), although I was extremely happy with all the things I saw/ bought.
Anyways, I bought this amazing jersey-studded neck piece that was half necklace half shawl, made by some friends. The colour is actually turquoise, not as light blue-ish as it shows on the right picture, and of course it's fabulous!
Two other items I thought were cute are the festive-coloured necklaces I and Put found for her purchases. Knowing Put's simple and sophisticated sense of style, we thought these pieces would add a touch of playfullness to her outfits.
All and all, we were satisfied of what we came to see. Can't wait for next Brightspot Market!

Audrey Tautou on the premiere of Coco Avant Chanel!
We all know that Audrey Tautou is a great actress and has been claimed as the new Audrey Hepburn by many critics, but it is her je ne sais quoi style that captured my eyes in this ensemble (taken at the screening of Coco Before Chanel). The lace blouse, the leather pencil skirt, the black & white choice of colour, everything is all on trend. Yet somehow she's able to make it look effortlessly cool. Tone it down with the black pumps, and top it off with the highly anticipated film on her hand. Voila, c'est magnifique!Cheers

Bazaar Art 2009 (cont'd)

Top: An amazing painting, a true beauty indeed! The details on this painting were just breathtaking, and we just stood there for about 3 minutes staring at it.Bottom: The boys just could not stop taking pictures of the paintings (and of themselves!) =D
Again, sorry for the lack of clarity and focus =(
Bazaar Art 2009
So I've been wanting to go to this art exhibition from last week and I've finally gotten to go there last weekend. It was held by Harper's Bazaar Indonesia which was simply titled Bazaar Art 2009. We went on the second to last day! I had so much fun as we were taking lots of pictures. Unfortunately, we didn't bring a proper camera so please forgive the bad lighting etc because I only used my phone's camera!
These are my two favourite fashion artworks. The white one was made of thousands of origami-ed papers (I think they were glued, I did not dare to touch them) throughout the long end of the train. The black one on the other side, was made of spools of thread, as you can see clearer on the platform. It was so representative of the art of sewing, I thought, and they even had needles stuck on to the platform as I looked closely. Just fabulous! Enjoy!

Gwen Stefani at Hubby's Concert, Yummy Mommy!
The rockstar royalty (and my forever inspiration) Gwen Stefani is looking fabulous even when she's on mommy duty, holding her son Kingston, in those killer heels. Her ripped white top and the colour combo of her L.A.M.B shoes and the toenails are super yummy. She always makes baby sitting look so fashionably easy!Cheers

Lily Allen for Elle UK
It's been 3-4 years ago since I first fell in love with Lily Allen when I discovered her Myspace page. Since then, I've been listening to her music like madness. Apart from all the crazy sh*t written about her antics on gossip blogs, I think she survived this year quite successfully with the new album 'It's not me, It's you' release, among the rise of many other girl-pop sensations (namely Katy Perry, Little Boots, La Roux). She's a muse to Karl Lagerfeld, now the face of the highly-anticipated-upcoming Chanel campaign, and graced the cover of Elle UK October issue. Posing model-esque in her blond-debby harry-like hair and skin tight body-con dress (maybe a bit of photoshop, too), I say.. Hot!

JPG is Not leaving Hermes
Pheeww, thank God, Hermes finally set the record straight. I've been worrying about the rumours flying around stating Jean Paul Gaultier was leaving Hermes, because I don't think we've seen enough of his work for Hermes just yet. As quoted from Elle, "both [Hermes and JPG] intend to continue their fruitful collaboration". Can't wait to see the next collection down the runway on fashion week!Source: elleuk.com

VB Dresses are so VB!
I never really liked nor hated Victoria Beckham, but I'm always intrigued to see her style that has evolved quite interestingly for the recent couple of years. From robotic alien-esque costumes to the immaculate lady-like dresses, she always steals the attention. As I am liking her pixie cut (which I think suits her the best), I'm becoming obsessed with her latest dress collection! For more pictures of VB dresses modelled by her look alike, check out vmagazine.comCheers

Mad Men, and all that Jazz..

Mad Men is my current favourite tv series I've been following for a while now. I just finished the two seasons and am eagerly waiting for the third season. If you haven't already known, the story line is about men working in a NY advertising agency set in the 1950's. But what I love the most is actually the costumes that cast wear. The men wear slick suits with neatly combed hair, while the women walks gorgeously in their big flowy skirt and body hugging dresses. Second comes the story of course =) I have to warn you though, for some people the story might seem a bit slow. I can't wait to see what happens with Ron & Betty Draper on the next season!
Cheers
